My issue is allergies and the fact that I have an 18 month old in the house. I think adding a dog to the mix of kids, a toddler and a shift worker would drive me bonkers...at least right now. I really want my children to grow up with a dog in the house. He has a rep in the neighborhood as scary (he was a coal-town stray, and certainly had little socialization).
